EPK - Tyron Benoit Band

"Hard-driving, arena-ready rock that keeps the Louisiana elements up front!"

-Offbeat Magazine

"This band brings the summer heat of the Louisiana bayou, and the rhythm of a train chugging through America’s heartland...  Tyron’s accordion dances over the band’s blues-rock-soul engine and his honeyed, deeply felt vocals sing straight to the heart. Boot-scootin’ is fully in order. In fact, dancing to this band is irresistible."

- SBG Productions (Durango Blues Train, Telluride Blues and Brews)

Tyron is a native of bayou country, in Houma, Louisiana.  Younger brother of blues guitar great, Tab, Tyron has been playing music for over three decades, beginning his music career in Colorado.  "When I moved back to New Orleans, I really began to branch out musically, still fueled by that searching.  I put myself in situations where I would learn or grow from it.  I was super thirsty for exploring beyond the boundaries of what we had played on the road.  I started playing with many other musicians and bands:  reggae, funk, rock...  whatever and wherever I could grab a bite of something, I was trying to get a taste.  I even had an opportunity to lead a band for Big Chief Monk Boudreaux.  He is a true legend, and I knew I was now part of New Orleans musical history."

Tyron and his band played over 30 major festivals:  from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the French Quarter Festival, Sunbanks Blues Festival (WA), the Silver City Blues Festival (NM), the W.C. Handy Blues Festival (KY), the Durango Blues Train (CO),  Bayou Bon Vivant (VA) to packing out our venue at the Prestigious Telluride Blues and Brews Festival (CO), and a trip across the Atlantic Ocean to close out the Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland.  In addition, the band opened for brother Tab's album release tour and closed out the final three nights of 2024 opening for the great Samantha Fish!

In 2025, Tyron will be releasing his long-awaited second album, "Mid City" in mid September!  Stay tuned!

"(Tyron) ...seamlessly weaves together elements of folk, Americana, and roots rock, creating a warm and organic sound that feels both timeless and contemporary. The arrangement is dynamic yet intimate, with acoustic guitar-driven instrumentation complemented by electric flairs, rich harmonies, rhythmic percussion, and subtle yet effective production choices. Benoit’s vocal delivery is sincere and inviting, carrying a natural grit that enhances the song’s authenticity."
